I have been taking Tramadol for 15 years, 50mg 4 times a day for widespread (every muscle) Fibromyalgia. I m thinking that I may be having effects of long term use. Muscles burning and painful as I walk up my stair case, and have to stop now half way up and let the muscles recover before going up the rest of the way. Hurting muscles with this exertion are in fronts and backs of thighs, knees, and calves. Headaches several times a day, nausea, runny nose, night sweats, every night sometimes 2xs a night, and have to change clothes, feeling of being over heated without exertion, joint pain (elbows and shoulders). The reason I m thinking this may be long term use of Tramadol, is in 2014 I began having symptoms of Parkinson s, trewmor, dystonia, etc. These symptoms were a result of taking the medication Reglan, and affects mostly women over age 60, menopausal, long term use, my neurologist diagnosed this by looking at my medication list, etc. When I was on my last week of titrating off slowly the tremors were gone, the dystonia was improving. Thank you for taking the time to read my question. I apologize for the length of the e-mail. Carole Layman
