What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In The Pelvis?

Over the past year Having pelvic pain - inside feels like a burning and peeling of skin - also over the year and most recently have been tested for uti s. Some are negative and some positive. Have been on several antibiotics - that only help a little while. Been tested for STD s, had a cystoscopy and had ovaries checked thru ultrasound. All were negative and checked out good. Had a full panel of blood work done and all is good. But still my doctors cannot figure out why I am having this chronic pain which is severe and I end up unable to continue on with my daily activities. I am only 20, in college and hope you have some advice. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Seemingly pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis most likely. In our clinic, I recommend CT pelvis with or without diagnostic laparoscopy for a further plan of the case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
