What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In The Vagina?

I have Burning at Urethal Opening, vestibule, labia minora, and the glans of clitoris, after urination. The pain is pretty bad. I also randomly get dull pain deep in my vagina on the left side. I have this same dull pain on the left side at my clitoris and dull and needle like pain in my butt, leg, and back. The only medical diagnosis I have is a herniated disc at L5-S1, but I am not sure why this would cause vaginal and genital pain. I have been tested for STDS and bacterial infections, but all have come back negative.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Burning sensation in the vagina along with pain and urinary symptoms appears that you could be having bacterial infection of vagina as well as urinary tract infection.
Kindly get the following investigations done to confirm the cause.
1. Urine routine examination.
2. Urine culture and sensitivity.
3. Vaginal swab culture and sensitivity.
Kindly do the following along with it to overcome the same.
1. Cleanse the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily.
2. Wear loose fitting undergarments preferably made of cotton.
3. Abstain from sexual activities till the symptoms subside completely.
4. Drink good quantities of fluids and take Vitamin C along with it.
5. Take appropriate course of oral antibiotics based on the investigation report on consultation with Gynecologist.
Maintain good personal hygiene.
Gradually, you should be able to overcome the symptoms and be back to normal.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
