What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation On The Hips?

I have pain and burning on my right hip. When I lie on it when I m in bed, a burning (and numbing) sensation wakes me up. I can also feel a tubular swelling that hurts if I apply pressure to it. It hurts mostly when I m in bed. I have to roll over and get off of it. The pain only diminishes for a while. I have to toss and turn all night to get relief.

hi sir/madam,your symptoms make me think of few conditions like pyriformis syndrome, neurofibroma or lipoma of buttock.for pyriformis syndrome, rest, nsaids and physiotherapy after pain relief are advicable.lipoma and neurofibroma are very benign tumors.if it is bothering much, excision can be done.for relief of pain,NSAIDs,muscle relaxants can be used.only on physical examination,an accurate diagnosis can be given.hope i'm clear in my explanation.take care.bye.
