What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation Under The Ribs?
For the last 2 days I ve been experiencing a burning sensation right under my right side rib, and if I bend over it contracts in what feels like a long cramp that spreads across under my rib cage from the left to right and I have to hold it and breath through the pain.
as per you query you have pain and burning sensation under the ribs . Well the symptom you mention in query can probably occur due to acid reflux disease . This occur when the sphincter of esophagus does not work properly and allow the acidic content of stomach to come upwards and irritated and sometimes damage mucosa of digestive track . I would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy specially at night , eat small and frequent meals , eat at least one hour before going to bed and take antacid after every meal . Consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order endoscopy of upper digestive track , X-ray and ambulatory acidity test . Doctor may prescribe proton pump inhibitor and H 2 blocker . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
