What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation While Urinating?
I believe I have a urinary tract infection. I have a stabbing pain while urinating and a burning sensation when I m not. I m currently at a friends house and it s 12:35 in the morning. I want the pain to stop just long enough for me to fall asleep and wake up so I can get to a doctor. What can I do?
Thank you for sharing your query on Healthcaremagic, I have carefully worked through your case and you probably have an Urinary Track Infection, antibiotics are usually the first line treatment and their prescription depends of the type of bacteria found in your urine test and your health condition ( a urine test is mandatory) until you decide go to the doctor I advice you drink enough fluids and cranberry juice, to avoid future reinfections, empty your bladder frequently, wipe from front to back, choose showers over baths, clean your genital area before sex, wear fresh underwear like cotton ( not nylon or synthetic fibers) avoid alcohol and caffeine. I hope that you get better Please kindly rate if my advise has been helpful Wishing you a good health Dr Tania Portelles-Driggs
