What Causes Pain And Congestion In The Nose?

I have been getting bad nose pain for 2-3 years. My nose is always stuffy and even if I blow it there is nothing. My nose bleeds 1-5 times a day. I had to stop swimming since being underwater hurt so bad. I’m always in constant pain and I have missed a lot of school because of it! I have been put on allergy medication since all my doctors (I’ve been to 4-5) all day it’s allergies but no medication has worked, some even cause it to become worst.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Dextromethorphan act as an adrenergic agonist it may elevate the blood pressure. If you are on metoprolol 50, then please check your Blood Pressure (BP) after taking Dextromethorphan. If your BP elevated need to hike your metoprolol.

Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Syed Hashim Ali Shah
