Hi. When i try to bend my knee the muscle at the back of the knee is very tight and painful. it is especially so after I have been standing or walking for a while. Sometimes it is a little difficult bending the knee when I go upstairs. Tried various stretching exercises but hasn t seemed to work. Any suggestions what might be the problem.
Hi...Can understand your concern...As per your query about feeling pain while moving and bending of knees seems to be arthritis pain ...It would be easy to find cause if you had mentioned your age..but I suggest you to get a blood investigation for RA factor and an xray done to know about changes going on for proper diagnosis...Streching exercises may not be helpful in this and you need to do specific exercises for knee joints and legs..Arthritis is a progressive disease and can be controlled by physiotherapy and weight control...You can take voveran tablets if pain is much for few days and hot water bags can be used to get relief from stiffness and inflammation at joint..Rest treatment will depend on investigation reports and consulting a orthopaedic doctor after proper examination...I hope the information helps you..Take care.
