Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

If these are the only symptoms you are having I would suggest that you take some Ibuprofen to help with the pain and Omeprazole to reduce acid reflux in the throat and further damage of the throat mucosa and if no improvement in another 3-4 days please see your doctor. The symptoms you are experiencing can be due to the trauma that strong cough from the food going in the wind pipe causes. The superficial layer of the throat mucosa can be scratched and may need some time to heal. If you have cough and fever as well than you will need to see your doctor to rule out lung infection.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
