Hi,
As per your clinical history, please follow like this:
1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor [Cardiologist], and to confirm the exact cause, do few investigations like Doppler ultrasound, Ankle-brachial index (ABI),
Angiography, fasting blood sugar and
lipid profile.
2) Discuss with your Doctor about prescription medicines like:
-a)
Atorvastatin, Fenofibrate to reduce
Cholesterol -b) Clopidogrel to prevent blood clots
-c) Cilostazolfor foot pain
3) Discuss with your Doctor about permanent treatment like Angioplasty.
Do follow lifestyle modifications like this:
1) Try to avoid smoking.
2) If you have diabetes, keep your blood sugar in good control.
3) Do exercise regularly. Aim for 30 minutes at least three times a week after you've gotten your doctor's OK.
4) Lower your cholesterol and blood pressure levels, if applicable. Eat foods that are low in
saturated fat.
5) Try to maintain a healthy weight.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
