General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to costochondritis which is an inflammation of the junctions where the upper ribs join with the cartilage that holds them to the breastbone, or sternum. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain and inflammation. If the symptoms continue, you should consult a rheumatologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
