What Causes Pain And Discomfort In Groin Area And Lower Back?

The night before, I awoke at 3 am. with pain on the side of my groin and lower back. I ve previously had prostatitis (twice). Aspirin seems to help, but only for a short while. It seemed better this evening, but again, at 3 am, the discomfort on the sides of my groin and lower back returned. No other symptoms are noticable.
