Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 70 year old man and about two years ago I was circumcised because of a tight foreskin. I have been in pain and discomfort ever since this surgery. I think my urologist did a poor job. I have constant unbearable itching that is so bad that I can bear the pain after rubbing it to stop the itching easier than I can stand the itching. My MD prescribed a steroidal cream that I used for about a year but it really didn t help. I use Vaseline Intensive care cream but that doesn t help much ether. I moved and no longer have a regular doctor. Is there anything I can do to stop this pain and itching?
Penile itching may be due to drug or soap or clothes allergy or due to infection or psoriasis or balanitis is the cause. Use tablet Atarax 25 twice a day for five days. Please get it urine examination, blood sugar levels, thyroid profile then consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
