I am 32 years old, I am 5 3 and 125 lbs. The outside of my throat has been hurting for a couple of days, It is on the right side mainly. It is very tender to the touch,;painful only when i touch it. I haven t had a strain of any sorts. I realized this when I woke up a couple of days ago.
* As per my clinical experience, the pain and discomfort in throat particularly more over one side may be in concern with various inflammation conditions as
- strep throat
- viral infection with adeno or rhino
- epiglottitis
- tonsillitis
- adenoiditis
- others
Guidelines for better recovery
- plenty of liquids including boiled water
- gargles with salted lukewarm water
- avoid cold drinks, dairy products
- avoid smoking, alcohol if consuming
- analgesic tablets as ibuprofen or diclofenac after meals if no history of drug sensitivity
- prescription of antibiotics covering mainly gram positive bugs as penicillin, fluroquinolones or others from your primary care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
