What Causes Pain And Frequent Urge To Urinate After Intercourse?
Hi, I m a 21 year old woman who lost her virginity 3 days ago. I ve been feeling lots of pain specially when I urinate and I always feel like I need to pee. The pain wasn t as bad the second day but today it has felt just like the first day. Isn t the pain suppose to decrease as time goes by? Why did mine decrease and increased the next day? What can I do to help the pain go away?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Many of the women experience the way you are feeling with pain and frequent urge to urinate after losing virginity. The pain could persist or appear on and off first few times due to stretching of vaginal mucosa because of lack of enough lubrication. There is noting much to be worried about it as it would gradually subside to normal as time goes by. You need to take care by maintaining good hygiene by washing the area with warm water and mild antiseptic solution. In case the pain doesn't subside, you can take analgesic like ibuprofen after food. Kindly ask your partner to be gentle during the next encounter and use water-based lubricant to prevent such episodes from happening again. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
