What Causes Pain And Hardness In The Stomach Of A Child?
My son is four years old and has been crying clutching his stomach saying it hurts. But the side that hurts changes each time i ask. I don t think he understands what i am asking but he said it s the bottom part of his tummy that hurts. He is not constipated as he just had a BM. His temp taken with a temporal is 97. his whole stomach feels hard to me but he just ate two hours ago. he pulls away when i push on it.
1. Is there any change in stool characteristics like the color of stool, smell, consistency of stool.
2. Ask him is there any burning sensation after a meal or at any time.
3. Barium X-Ray of stomach, intestines
4.Blood Routine Test
5. Stool Test
With all the reports and answers of the above questions, you may give another post of the question.
Also, keep an observation when it is paining, any food item that causes more pain, any mass or something can be felt inside his abdomen (press and check the whole abdomen). But Do Not Worry.
We have many diagnostic tests available. If these cannot show us anything, we will go for higher diagnostic tests and hence can determine the treatment.
