Hi my name is Willow and my breast have been sore on the sides and they will get two seconds of shooting pain randomly and then it will disappear. I have a blue vein in my armpit. My boobs feel super heavy and my nipples aren t sensitive to the touch but my boobs are very tender, they also have a dark ring around the areola! My nipples and boobs have gotten a little bigger. Any ideas what could be going on?
It can be mastitis that is breast inflammation or infection. However it's advisable to investigate with ultrasonography of breast for primary work up.
If any underlying mass detected somehow in USG than FNAC done from swelling or else for breast inflammation anti-inflammatory drug and the antibiotic course can be prescribed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
