What Causes Pain And Heaviness In The Chest After Taking Lisinopril 20 Mg?
I m a 40 yr. Old female with high blood pressure, I take lisinapril 20 mg. Daily but for the last 2 hours I have been having chest pain, not burning in the chest area tho more like something heavy is sitting on my chest, my upper back is starting to hurt and I feel like I have a lump in my throat. So I m not sure what to do
Hi, Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here
There are variety of reasons for chest pain but as you already have high blood pressure (Hypertention ) it is important to check your BP on regular basis However you are taking antihypertensive medicines (Lisinopril 20 mg) on regular basis but still it is possible that you might have an acute hypertensive episode
However your chest pain might be related to gastric esophageal reflex but it might be related to something serious like angina which is a major out come of chronic Hypertension and it needs thorough medical checkup and investigations to rule out the underlying medical condition
I would strongly suggest you to visit your doctor to get it further evaluated
I hope it help Thanks & Get well Soon
