Dear Dr.chakravorty. I trust your are doing well. I would like to query about my mother Age: 48 years Problem: scrolling pain with heaviness just at the point of diaphragm(1-2 inches above and below.not able to sleep and aggravates at night badly. Since: 10 days. Commenced: after having 4-5banans along with paneer(200gm);panipuri 2 days prior. History:cervical spodolosis(diagnosed 25days ago) 60%burnt 19years ago. 1 year ago (had a problem of gastro- inflammation happened) Kindly sujjest! Warm regards Brijesh
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The symptoms you describe may not be related to her past history.Pains around diaphragm point may be caused by a number of medical conditions.Some of these causes may include: gastritis, liver/gall bladder/pancreatic problems.Stomach/intestinal causes are also possible. Identifying the exact cause may be difficult since your description is not very clear.Description like duration of symptoms, radiation, nature of pain and analgesic position would have been very useful I will suggest you see the Doctor for examination.Depending on the Doctor's diagnostic orientation, work-ups may be requested to help identify the exact cause.
