What Causes Pain And Irritation In The Vaginal Area?

My mother is 94 and is complaining of vaginal pain and irritation. She has a small amount of greenish yellow discharge and frequent urination. No fever . We sent a urine sample to her doctor last Monday and it was o.k. Could she have yeast or vanities?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Your mother's symptoms could be due to vaginal infection like bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis. I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination and vaginal swab test to confirm the cause.

Doctor will give following advises Tablet Metronidazole, Vaginal suppository of Clingen and Lactobacillus. Apply Vagisil cream, wash vagina with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vinegar. Maintain proper pelvic hygiene, wear pure cotton loose inner. Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet.
