What Causes Pain And Itching In Eyes?

I have severe eye pain and itchy since two months. It also followed By redness, swelling,puffy..nd affected by cold like sneezing esp in morning while I awake.I consultd an opthalogist nd c prescribed me acupat.I have burning sensation nd I feel like heavy eyes..is it safe to continue? Vat side effects i will come across?

Thank you for posting your query. I can understand your concern. From what you have written , it hints towards an allergic pathology. Acupat is a good drug , but I would suggest you to add eye drop Hydroxy-propyl-methyl-cellulose(0.5%or1%) - 1 drop 4 times daily. Do not worry much. You should keep in touch with your Ophthalmologist to see the progress. You can post any other question.
