What Causes Pain And Itching Sensation In Vaginal Area?
I am a 55 year old woman and in Nov. 2014 I started having extreme itching in the female area. It wakes me up at night itching really bad and after I urinate it calms down, only to return the next time I have to urinate. My going to the bathroom is sometimes 4 to 5 times a night.

- menopausal symptoms- causing drying / atrophy of vaginal mucus membrane-local ointment containing estrogen
