Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
At night I wake up with leg pain in both legs.on a scale often to five it an getup to five, and even when I lay down on the sofa during the day it will start.I will get Charlie horses at times .and a couple of times I would feel like I m laying in ice ,my legs feel like they are freezing .Now I feel pain in my knees the last couple nights?.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain in both legs and knees along with freezing sensation in legs requires an orthopaedic examination of your knee joints. Osteoarthritis is one of the conditions wherein there is pain in knees especially during movement. Freezing sensation in legs could be due to vascular compromise. Thus, Doppler study of lower limbs along with orthopaedic examination is required. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician for clinical assessment and further work up.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
