What Causes Pain And Numbness In The Arm?

My name is Sharon Preston. I went to Quest labs last Tuesday. The tech missed my vein and hit a nerve which was very painful. I had told her my veins rolled but she forgot. As a result, I am experiencing numbness in hand and sharp pains in my arm. I don’t know what to do and would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Hello,

If it was really nerve injury, then it will take some time for it to heal. Usually, it will be reversible since it is a minor injury. I would regret that since it is a nosocomial induced injury.

For now, you can take vitamin B12 tablets which help in the healing of the nerves. Take Neurobion forte drug for one month once daily after food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
