Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain And Numbness In The Arms Post Removal Of A Tumor?
I had a 7 lb tumor removed from my back in August 2017 and now I am having really bad pain when I try to lift my arms. When I try to lift them, my arms, hands and feet go numb and it hurts severely when I try to move. It also hurts really bad on that area when I cough. What could be causing this?
After lifting of hands getting numbness may be due to neurovascular bundle compression. Post-surgery site pain may be due to keloid formation or may be due radiculopathy in the spinal cord.
Please consult neuro physician and get MRI spine done and get treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
