Hello,
I suggest you some test to do. These two features you mentioned is highly non-specific, so, starting with the first step, I should suggest to you:
1. Electromyelogram (EMG)
2.
Nerve conduction velocity study
3.
CT Scan of the lumbosacral spine
4. Blood
Glucose (Fasting)
Physical examination is also needed in this case. But as you questioned here, I gave you some tests which may be helpful for you.
For now, you can do the followings to arrest the problem but it may not cure your problem:
1. Reduction of inflammation with the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This is usually taken for one week or so.
2. Application of ice or heat.
3. Take Rest in between prolonged walking, standing or other activities which might worsen the problem.
4. Loose clothing to relieve compression especially at the upper front hip area.
5. Strengthening of the muscles in the abdomen through exercise; and
6.
Weight loss if you are
overweight.
Do not worry, there are ample of treatments. This information may help you a little. But remember, physical examination is needed by a doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
