Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am trying to see if my symptoms indicate appendicitis. I developed on Monday (2 days ago) moderate to severe abdominal pain, pressure, and cramping. I took gas meds but it did not help. I took off of work yesterday to rest and it has gotten better. I have had a BM and passed gas. I have not been nauseated or vomited. The pain has relieved mostly but still present occasionally. I have had no loss of appetite but have restricted myself to mostly a liquid and bland (toast and bananas) diet. I have had no fever.
Hi and Welcome to Ask A Doctor service. These symtoms are less likely to be due to appendicitis .These are more suggestive of some gut probelms like maldigestion or gas . Appendicitis pain is more on right side , it's moslty severe , and nausea /anorexia is very common with appendicitis so in absence of these it does not look to be appendicitis.
