What Causes Pain And Pressure On Both The Sides Of Testicles?

Yes, my Dad has major pain/pressure on both sides of his testicles ( left and now right )... The pain has increased from his left testicle, to now his right testicle. The pressure is so intense, that when He wears His pants, the discomfort is so strong, He only thinks of the pain. Could this be a hernia on both sides? ( the pain started after my Dad dug a ditch for 50 minutes with a shovel and a matox, lifting dirt and shoveling dirt and axing a tree stump... All the motions put direct pressure on his hernia area. It has been 20 days now, and, again, the pressure, has moved from His left side to his right. Plus, the pain has increased, daily.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
This may be due to some trauma caused by shovel work , but we can't rule our other causes , may be due to ;
1 Bilateral hernia , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination .
2 Epididmo-orchitis , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination .
3 Urinary tract infection , diagnosis can be confirmed by urine culture .
So, in my opinion , as pain is aggravating so consult surgeon and get his opinion.
In few cases prostatitis may be the another cause or hydrocele .
