Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My ear is red and extremely soar, inside but not deep inside. I woke up with a really bad earache, it felt clogged and was ringing. I got some stuff for swimmers ear that was mostly rubbing alchohol. After using that for a day or two my ear became red and inflamed with extreme tenderness. These symptoms have not gotten better for a week, just ringing pain and redness.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain and redness in ears which is due to ear infection and foreign body penetration in ear. Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to visit Otolaryngologist/ ENT specialist immediately and get evaluated and start treatment after proper examination. Get all the lab tests done and examination with otoscope. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin along with Ibuprofen. You should put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. You should take proper rest. Try to avoid pricking it with any sharp object. You should avoid sleeping on this side.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
