What Causes Pain And Sensitivity To Cold Foods?

I have pain in my teeth on one side only, top and bottom. Cold effects it. Dentists have checked and nothing seems to be wrong. Hurts when I eat cold foods like cereal, drink milk, yet I can drink wine, water. Hard foods do not effect it, not does hot most times.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that sensitivity of teeth to cold and also eating anything hurts is due to Dentinal Hypersensitivity and it can be due to opening of nerve endings over the teeth and is microscopic in nature so does not needs to appear as any gross abnormality that is why nothing has been visible clinically..
Nothing to worry about it as it will be resolved soon..
You can start using desensitizing toothpaste over the teeth, you can apply the paste over all teeth and leave for a minute and then brush your teeth with it..
Do it twice daily for 15 days and then switch to your regular toothpaste..
You should not exceed using for more than 15 days as it has more abrasives and can abrade your teeth if used for long durations.
Avoid taking extremely hot or cold foods till the sensitivity resolve..
You can revert back after 15 days so that I can guide you further as per the response..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
