What Causes Pain And Soreness In Chest While Breathing?

At cheerleading practice tonight, we threw a girl into the air and when it came time to catch her, the other base backed out and left the girl to fall directly onto my chest as I fell to the ground. It hurts to breathe and its a bit sore. Did I do something to it that I should be aware of?
