What Causes Pain And Spasms In The Stomach While On Bactrim?

I. Was treated Thursday for uti. Blood was in urine with wbc. Was prescribed bactrim. Now I am experiencing sporadic intense pain and spasams in the back area at bottom of rib cage also in chest area. Should I go to the ER or wait longer for the antibiotics to take effect?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First, I would like to know how days have you used bactrim. Bactrim is an antibiotic that sometimes gives gastro intestinal discomfort like nausea diarrhea . But I will suggest to use bactrim regularly for 7-10 days and than to have another urinary analyses or see your doctor. During this period I will suggest to use plenty of water about 2 liter a day. Hope my advises are helpful to you.
