What Causes Pain And Stiffness At The Bottom Of The Thumb?
My thumb hurts. The pain and stiffness is at the joint at the base of my thumb. It started yesterday with just mild pain and stiffness when I woke up. At first I thought I had jammed my thumb sometime in the night. I massaged it and worked out the stiffness though it still hurt some during the day. Today was same but pain and stiffness just kept getting worse, with my thumb now hurting whether I move it or not(though more if I try to) and I can t bend my thumb anymore.
Hi, I have read your question and understand your concerns. Thank you for posting in HCM. Inflammation at the tendons may cause pain and stiffness at the affected site. I would suggest using Tab Diclofenac 50 mg twice daily after meals for 3 days. Apply heat over the affected area. Wish you good health. Regards. For more information please do post in HCM.
