What Causes Pain And Stiffness In Elbows After Taking Allegra And Zantac?

Hives and joint pain. I have been suffering from red itchy patches about my torso, back, and now arms and legs. Told to use Allegra and Zantac, I am now still suffering from the patches and can add severe pain / stiffness in elbows and starting in shoulders. Can the zantac / allegra be causal?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and stiffness in elbows after taking Allegra and Zantac . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to allegra as its side effects . Allegra is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body , which is known to cause joint pain in some cases . I would suggest you to consult doctor who prescribe your this medicine and discuss the condition with him . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for other causes like tendinitis , carpal tunnel or tennis elbow .
