What Causes Pain And Stiffness In The Knees?

I twisted my knee last week. There was a popping noise when it happened. There is no swelling but a lot of pain. I can walk with pain, stiffness and burning sensation. I have been applying ice and taking motrin. What should I do next. It has been 5 days.
