What Causes Pain And Stiffness In The Neck?

I have neck stiffness and pain if I take a Tylenol allergies sinus pill it usually clears up but I have it most days. I also feel like I am on a boat , feeling myself cement and balance can be a little off. My body will even sway slightly at times. Has been most of today. This is very slight, you wouldn t notice unless looking for it. I have had these problems off and on for about a year and a half. Last year I had two seizures.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and stiffness in the neck . Well it is very important to find out the exact cause of neck stiffness and correct it . Neck stiffness can occur due to may reasons like muscle strains , nerve compression , Injuries ,diseases, cervical spondylosis and Certain diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis . Trapezius muscle problem can also be one of the reason. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor will examine physically , ask you to do certain movements and may order CT scan . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant and may recommend specific exercises . For now do stretching exercises and start physical therapy of neck . Sometimes doctor mat recommend steroid injection at pain site .Doctor may also recommend physical therapy . In severe case doctor may recommend surgery . Gentle massage with flax oil will be helpful.
