What Causes Pain And Stiffness On The Right Side Of The Neck?
I have had increasingly painful stiffness on the right side of my neck for three days. I ve referred to this as a crick in my neck in the past, but this is more painful. I ve tried Aleve, heating pad, ice pack, and hot showers. Last year I had knee replacement and had some hydrocodone and oxycodone pills left. The hydrocodone does give some relief. My husband has gently massaged the area which did give slight relief. Should I seek medical attention or is this something that should work itself out?

What Causes Pain And Stiffness On The Right Side Of The Neck?
Hello, Most probably it will be cervical spondylitis. As first-line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI neck to make a diagnosis. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
