What Causes Pain And Swelling At The Site Of Heroin Shot?
After shooting only a small amount of heroin my wrist gradually began to swell and become very painful over a couple hour period. I can t move it at all. Can bend fingers half way, although that is painful as well. If I hit an artery or nerve maybe do I need to seek medical attention?
Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
it can be due to a local inflammation. if you have hit a nerve you would have lost function of your hand if an artery or vein will not cause swelling as you prescribes it would have bleed instead.
for which you can use tablets like diclofenac 50 mg twice a day.
consult a doctor if the swelling keeps on increasing or the pain increases.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards! Dr. Arunmozhi varman
