What Causes Pain And Swelling In Eye After Having Blunt Trauma To Eyebrow Area?
Hi! I had blunt force trauma 3 days ago to my eyebrow area...woke up the next morning with minimal edema and discoloration to my eye. As the day went on, it got a little worse but nor horrible by any means (I ve had a black eye before). Not much pain, just a knot that is only tender to the touch. No vision changes. However I woke up this morning and my actual eye hurt. Significant edema and the affected eye looked very bloodshot, no relief from eye drops. Why is my actual eye just now affected, even though the accident happened almost 72 hours ago? Is this part of the healing process or is it something I need to be concerned about? It was never red until this morning. Thanks
it is conjuctival hematoma due to impact of trauma at eye brow. it is self limiting and as such no treatment essential. can apply cold compression over eye brow. it will be normal in two weeks time.
