What Causes Pain And Swelling In Left Foot?

In the last 3 days it started with my left foot swollen painful and hot to the touch all symptoms moved up towards the near and this evening I noticed the right foot with redness swelling and pain is this something that could wait till Monday for my primary care MD

Based on the symptoms mentioned, it is possible that there is an infection of the foot.

Swelling, increased warmth and redness may indicate that there is cellulitis which means infection of the skin and underlying tissues.

Antibiotics can effectively treat this but it would be best to see someone as soon as possible so treatment can be started.
