What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Ankles And Legs?
My husband is complaining of pain in his ankle and bottom part of his leg. There is a lot of swelling He says it s tingling. And he went to bed at 7 pm and never goes to bed that early saying his foot is hurting him. I did elevate his leg on a pillow. It is his left leg.

Swelling and pain might be related to many causes, inflammatory diseases, varicose veins, or overuse.
-He should take painkillers Ibuprofen twice daily for some weeks, and Acetominofen + Codeine twice daily.
-He should rest and elevate his leg.
-Apply cold packs will help reducing inflammation.
If the symptoms persist after treatment and after following the instructions,I suggest him to consult a doctor for a physical examination and further treatment.
