What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Body?

After completing treatment for Hep C using harvoni, with in 5 days all my joints started aching and swelling and my body started retaining water and platlet count has not gotten any higher than 24,000.now they want me to start taking hydrocortisone pills to try and remedy.My body is very sencitive to drugs and I am worried about causing other problems for myself ,do you feel this is a safe and effective treatment for me. I completed the Hep C treatments last August

Hi,

You have to do liver function blood tests to know whether the liver is producing enough albumins and globulins. Insufficiency of these can give oedema. Taking supplements like HepaPro will be beneficial.
