What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Finger Joints?

I have one hand, dominate right hand, that is about 15% enlarged compared to the left, the finger joints are swollen , hurts to grip something, and I have lost strength in my wrist. At complete rest there is absolutely no pain, tingling, or any issues.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

A complete medical evaluation may be needed to know the exact cause of your symptoms. Possible causes of such symptoms are rheumatoid arthritis, gout, infectious arthritis. I will advise you see the doctor for examination and investigations. Rheumatoid factor test, uric acid level, and ESR may help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
