What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Knee Post Removal Of Tumor?
In February 2014 I had a tumor taken out of my knee. It held no cancer. Recently it has started swelling and hurts a little bit. I really need to know if I should be driving with it swollen and hurting. Before the operation I had to have a driver for me. Oh, I was also informed arthritis was beginning to form on that knee. If any help I am 64 years old
A tender, swollen, painful joint requires urgent medical attention to rule out possible septic arthritis which can damage the joint in course of few days. I suggest you to visit the emergency room at the earliest. The swollen joint needs aspiration urgently.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
