Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My knee feels spongy, creeks, and pops frequently. I m in a lot of pain and it feels as if my knee wants to go backwards. I also have lots of swelling. When I was in 8th grade I was told I tore tendons around the knee cap although I just had an X-ray and no MRI.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, possibility of ligamental injury with joint effusion is more likely. So better to consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination of knee joint, MRI and aspiration of fluid from knee joint. All these will tell you the diagnosis. And treatment is based on diagnosis only. So consult orthopedic doctor and discuss all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
