Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was pricked with a black locust while trimming and where it entered is painful and swollen. I don t believe it broke off under the skin but after a month my knuckle is still sore to the touch. Don t know he w to proceed with care of the area. What should I do?
Most probably it is a minor fracture or contusion.
As a first like management you can apply ice-packs and take analgesics like paracetamol or Diclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and get an MRI done.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
