What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Leg Joints While Walking?
Hello experts My father has a complicated problem over 2/3 years. Whenever he walk his leg is getting swelling also joint pains. He has problems in latrine also. He told that he has not clear latrine at morning. We have shown to many doctors. Though several tests doctor told that he has the problem with acid. He has also eosinophil. He has taken medicine given by doctors and now also he is taking medicine. But still, there is not good sign of cureness. So can you please suggest in this regards. Also if possible please suggest, we should consult to which type of doctor. Thank you in advance D. Thakur
Well, there are several possible causes. This may be a beginning of leg cellulitis which is inflammation of subcutaneous tissues and may develop into diabetic foot or even diabetic gangrene so any swelling, redness or pain in legs in someone who has diabetes should be evaluated by medical professionals since antibiotics may have to be started as soon as possible to prevent spreading of infection. He should do at least basic blood tests and blood sugar to see if there is a significant infection or not. Other causes include deep vein thrombosis or lymph edema and these should be checked with an ultrasound exam.
