What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Perennial Region Post A Non-penetrative Sex?

I had anal sex a few hours ago and it was a bit uncomfortable compared to the other times I have had anal sex. When I took a look down there after the sex, I noticed my perineum is red and swollen towards the entrance of my Anus and it is uncomfortable to sit down. What could be the problem?should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the redness and pain you are experiencing in perineum may be related to trauma of intercourse. I can advise you to put ice compresses there to help with redness and swelling. Also you can take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain. If you are in the same situation tomorrow you can go to hospital for evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
