Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The discomfort in my right knee isn t severe but there is slight swelling. No redness mostly stinging in random muscles and tendons. Both knees grind when I go up and down stairs, no significant pain but the right knee does not feel as strong. Had pain in back of knee recently felt like a cyst. Performed self deep tissue massage and cyst seems to have resolved. I m on my feet all day. My chiropractor is currently treating the knee. Range of motion is good but feel slight to moderate pressure when kneeling sitting on heels. Feels better with ice and movement, riding a stationary bike. Trying to determine if it is a from repetative motion injury a problem I am all too familiar with in numerous other areas. The semi random stinging pains are annoying enough to disturb my sleep and seem to be more in the muscles and tendons. The swelling has been present for about 4 weeks. I am 58 years old and maintain a healthy weight. Thanks in advance, Lisa
As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persists you can consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
