hi there, my big toe has been hurting i thought it was a ingrown toe nail so i left it alone but today i looked at my toe and where my nail line is was swollen and i decided to squeeze it and liquid came squirting out. i want to know why that happened and what is wrong with my toe
Hi...Can understand your concern...As per your query about pain in big toe and having pus is looking like a nail bed infection...It usually happens when infected water seeps into the nail bed any how...You need to take antibiotic orally as well as application topically...Antibiotics like Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid will be useful..Betadiene can also be applied locally..Have some early morning sunlight on it as it has healing properties.... If it is resolved then fine but if not and is more painful you need to consult a physian and may be a minor surgery may be need along the side of nailbed to get rid of infection and pus..I hope the information helps you .Take care.
